Ireland’s Pubs In Trouble, Along With Celtic Economy

Same issue as Portugal, Ireland has been doing a bit better than the other PIIGS, but if they want to make it out of this depression, they need to count on self-employment, self-sufficiency and renewables, the age of big government and big debt is over, a ‘minimal’ government of exclusively justice, defense, public medicine and social security, and a shift from petroleum intensive activities back to renewable, together with very liberal deregulation and support for self-employment, may get them back in track.

If I was in their shoes, again I would push the primary into becoming the supplier of raw materials for the secondary, support mass tourism, artisans high technology business creation, and proceed to ‘total deregulation’ dismantling and alienating all the public interests into any kind of activity not exclusively related to justice, defense, public medicine and social security, and dissolving useless bureaucracy castes.
